YSB Riverside

YSB Riverside is a 39 unit supportive housing building at 2887 Riverside Drive. The project provides support services to youth aged 16 to 24, who have been homeless or are at risk of becoming homeless. Building on YSB’s expertise in youth development and support, the innovative Youth Hub located on the ground floor provides vulnerable and at-risk youth with services related to youth homelessness prevention, intervention, and adult transition. Other services include mental health counseling, employment services, health care, and support for substance use challenges. This project was made possible through funding from all levels of government and primarily through an Action Ottawa grant.

As the Project Manager, Cahdco was responsible for engaging and managing the project and consultant team; coordinating funding and financing applications, including the Investment in Affordable Housing (IAH) Action Ottawa program, and CMHC Co-Investment Fund; and monitoring construction progress and cash flow. Cahdco also assisted with the warranty phase of the project once construction was completed. The project was completed and occupied in 2019.
