Cahdco and CCOC are happy to announce that their newest development project, Forward Family Shelter, is complete and ready for occupancy starting September 2023!
Located in Mechanicsville near Tunney’s Pasture, the development is a 49-unit, family oriented, affordable housing building on the former Forward Family Shelter site. Forward is a ‘mixed-income’ development and includes CMHC Average Market Rent rates, Below Market rates, and ODSP shelter rates.
The project features six fully accessible units, dedicated green space, garden plots, ample bike parking, and is built to environmentally efficient Passive Housing standards to reduce tenants’ utility costs.
Please join us at 159 Forward on August 22nd from 4-7 pm for the project’s Grand Opening! An official ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at 5:30 pm. The event will also include building tours, a barbeque, and the Merry Dairy ice cream truck!
