Announcing our Solutions Lab: Scalable partnerships between mid-sized housing providers and mid-sized housing developers to facilitate the creation of more affordable housing throughout Canada
Cahdco is excited to announce that our submission, drafted with Centretown Citizens of Ottawa Corporation (CCOC) and our Solutions Lab Consultants Inspirit Labs and CTLabs, was selected for Solutions Lab funding from CMHC.
The Lab will build a foundational framework for community and private organizations who wish to utilize partnerships to build more affordable housing. Information and findings from the Lab will be disseminated publicly throughout the Lab process.
With partners from across Nova Scotia and Ontario, the Lab will dissect the complexities of partnerships between the community and private housing sectors and will take both urban and rural contexts into account. These partnerships have incredible potential to contribute to the solution of Canada’s housing crisis by building more affordable units faster.
We want to extend a huge thank you to all of the partners on the Lab who supported the submission and will be an integral part of our Lab moving forward. These partners have a strong desire to build more affordable housing, and many of them are already doing creative work to make partnerships happen:
