This Thursday, November 7^th, Cahdco and CCOC are excited to partner with Carbon613 and CSV Architects to host the Sustainable Housing Tour at our Beaver Barracks and Arlington properties.

CCOC Beaver Barracks is an award-winning 254-home affordable rental housing project with mixed rents and uses, developed by CCOC and Cahdco. Sustainability was at top-of-mind when developing this project—Beaver Barracks was designed to LEED® Gold standards. The four-building complex has one of the largest residential geothermal systems in Canada, delivering highly efficient heating, cooling, and water heating to all units.

CCOC Arlington, recipient of the City of Ottawa’s inaugural Community Partnership Award, is a 3.5-storey, 16-unit complex with stacked townhouses and apartments. The complex was built to Passive House environmental standards, including green features like airtight building enclosure, high performance windows to prevent heat loss, an immense amount of insulation, an optimal building orientation to maximize passive solar heat gain, and more design features that reduce energy consumption.
