Construction on the Christ Church Bells Corners (CCBC) project has been underway since November of 2020, and the project is showing strong progress.

The CCBC project is an apartment building developed by the Anglican Diocese of Ottawa with development support from Cahdco. The 3 ½ storey wood framed building was designed by Hobin Architecture and will feature 35 new affordable housing units. The building will include a range of unit sizes, including six studios, 13 one-bedrooms, 13 two-bedrooms, and three three-bedroom units. The apartments will be rented out at different affordability rates, including at the Average Market Rent rate, a Below Market Rent rate, and at Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) rate. The CCBC project will also become a new home to the Western Ottawa Community Resource Centre (WOCRC) and FAMSAC Food Cupboard.

The Christ Church Bells Corners project was made possible through several funding and financing partners, including the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation, the City of Ottawa, and Enbridge.

Cahdco has been working alongside CCBC’s construction manager, Warlyn Construction Ltd. in ensuring the highest standard of safe and efficient building. Below are some photos of the ongoing construction:
